Your digital identity is your passport to the digital world
Link your eSignature to your verified digital identity

E-Signatures? We’ve got that covered. Move into the digital world by connecting your physical identity to your eSignature and verified digital identity.

Your verified digital identity is internationally recognized and tamper-proof. Get your identity verified by UnikSign and turn your eSignature into a digital signature that has the same legal value as your handwritten signature. This is done by tying your electronic signature to your verified digital identity.

With different verification levels, this allows for remote identity verification and secure signing by using and advanced digital certificate: your verified digital identity, your passport to the digital world. Any individual or business can become verified.

Our verification process
  1. Set up your eSignature in UnikSign. Once that is done, select identity verification request for an individual or entity, if you want to get your business verified.
  2. Upload your identity documents – passport or other government-issued identification. To verify an entity, upload the appropriate business documents.
  3. Schedule a quick meeting with a Registration Authority (a lawyer or notary in good standing) that is part of the UnikSign network.
  4. Once approved, you will receive your advanced digital identity certificate in your UnikSign account.

Advanced levels of verification can be performed for entities following the same process.

Verification levels

Standard – your digital identity hasn’t been linked to your signature yet, but your eSignature has enhanced legal value due to two-step identification plus a PIN when you want to sign a document.

Level 1 – Your identity is confirmed by a Registration Authority (RA), such as a lawyer or notary. You then get an advanced digital certificate tying your eSignature to your digital identity. For businesses, corporate documents are verified by a Registration Authority (RA), and an advanced digital certificate is granted to the business.

Level 2 – Available for businesses only. The business structure and administrators are verified. Those verified to sign on behalf of the business have been authorized by the Board of Directors. Each individual that wants to sign on behalf of the business must go through the digital identity verification process in Level 1.

Level 3 – Available for businesses only. This is the highest level of verification. At this stage, the governance and roles within the organization are verified. This ultimate level of verification lets you be certain that the person signing the document is who they say they are and is liable to sign on behalf of the business.
